Missing...

Missing--1 blue and brown Swankie Blankie swirls security blanket.  Have you seen it?  Or maybe I should say have you seen "her"?  Campbell lost his blankie, or as he calls it, his baby.  She is a girl, and since Andrew was born, he has been carrying her around and taking care of her just like any good parent would.  Baby takes naps, gets her diaper changed, and even cries sometimes.  But now, she is missing, and we are very sad.

Last time we saw her, Campbell was getting up Sunday morning, and I told him to grab her as he was getting out of bed.  We haven't seen her since.  We have looked EVERYWHERE.  I've looked in the kitchen cabinets, in the refrigerator, the freezer, under our bed, in the trash can, in all the laundry baskets, and pretty much everywhere else we could think of.  We even looked in our dresser drawers.  This is bad news, folks.

But actually, I will say that Campbell has handled it quite well.  He had a major meltdown on Sunday afternoon, but since then, he's really been OK about it.  I took him to JoAnn's to pick out some fabric to make a new one, and he chose UK fabric.  Well, I made it for him last night, and he was less than thrilled with it this morning when I showed it to him.  It clearly does not compare to his baby.

And so, the search goes on.  Blankie, you may be gone, but you are not forgotten.  We won't give up on you!

Halloween

Here are a few better late than never pictures from Halloween.  We did tons of fun stuff the week or so before Halloween.  It seemed like it lasted forever, but we had so much fun.  Campbell was hysterical this year.  He really understood what it was all about.  He loved wearing his costume, although not at first.  As you can see, he was a farmer and wore overalls and a shirt.  When I first put it on him he told me, "Mommy, this is not a costume; it's just clothes!"  But we talked it up and when he put on his hat he felt pretty cool.  Now he says he's going to be a tiger for Christmas.  How do I explain to him that we only dress up on Halloween?  Anyway, here are some pictures from a few of our Halloween activities.  Hope you guys had as much fun as we did!

Annual Pumpkin Carving with the Whitfields--we've done this every year since we were pregnant with Campbell and Taylor (except one year when Campbell was sick).

Not sure why they thought it would be fun to put their hands on Andrew's head, but I guess he's too young to be mad about it.  And if you are wondering why my kids are in their costumes, it's because we had been to a costume birthday party earlier.  Also, Callie missed this part because she'd already gone to bed.  But we'll get her in there next year!

Trunk or Treat at church--our Juniors did a GREAT job and definitely should have won that night--great Chocolate Factory EVER.  I'm so proud of them!

(The wagon was great except that Andrew would stand up every time we stopped.   But at least it kept them in one place!)

Campbell's preschool Fall Fun Party.  Andrew pretty much thought he was as big as everyone else.

Harvest Party at the Legends Club.  We had never been and didn't know all the kids were dressing up, but oh well.  We still had fun.

Andrew's first time on the golf course.  Definitely a noteworthy event for our family! Sorry the picture isn't turned right.  I thought I had it rotated.

The Annual Sciortino/Russell/Lambert family Halloween Spectacular--for the last 2 years, my sister Jamie and I decided it would be easier if everyone just met in the same place for Halloween.  It was a wild and crazy but really fun night.
Ok, this is all the pictures I have the patience to upload right now.  Thanks for checking in.
