I can do it myself!

If my son could make sentences, that's what he'd say. As of now, it comes out with an emphatic, "NO!" when I try to feed him something from a spoon. I took these pictures Tuesday when he ate his bowl of cream of wheat himself. He doesn't really have the concept of a spoon, so every time it gets close to his mouth he turns it over and it dumps down his shirt. He also ate chicken casserole and spaghetti with his hands that day, too. But, aside from all the laundry it creates, it's really not too bad. You see, if he eats all by himself, then I can eat at the same time. Anyway, I thought it was funny, so I decided to take some pictures.

An update on the early potty training. David tried it once and nothing happened, so we probably won't do it for a while. I never really thought it would work anyway, but it was worth a shot, I guess. Hope you are enjoying this great spring time weather!

  • He looks pretty clean to me. Looks like he is doing well with the spoon! Give the little flirt a kiss from me after the spaghetti feeding! Have a good day!

  • That stage was so hard for me b/c Bella won't wear bibs and refuses any help on eating. She learned though...guess I can't spoon feed forever to save the laundry. I am impressed on the potty attempt. Let me know if you have any suggestions...we are still very stubborn on this issue: )

  • Campbell looks so much like your dad to me. Very impressive work with the spoon. I've still never even given William one yet. Guess I should start that soon. I'm hoping one day you potty train Campbell easily then pass on all your tips. :)
