thanksgiving, whew!

Well, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday this year.  We had lunch in Kentucky with David's mom's family, dinner in Lewisburg with my family, and then Friday we went back to Kentucky to visit with David's dad's family.  Campbell was an absolute trooper, taking his nap in the car both days and only sleeping about an hour each time.  He did have a little fall at my grandparents' house which actually started to swell a little and worried us for a while, but he was fine.  It was fun to see him interacting with all his cousins and all the other family.  It makes me really excited about Christmas this year and how much fun that will be.  Although being only 4 weeks from my due date may make it not as fun as I want it to be.  But, it will still be another wonderful holiday, I am sure.

We've also been pretty busy lately doing lots of other things too.  A few weeks ago we celebrated my sister Jamie's 30th birthday.  Her husband gave her an awesome gift of a girls' weekend at the mariott in cool springs.  Me, Jamie, and 2 of her other friends scrapbooked and ate and had a great time.  Then we had another party for her on her actual birthday where we went to dinner then back here for cake.  I think and hope she had a wonderful 30th birthday and it wasn't as painful as she thought it might be.

Then the next weekend we went to Gainesville to visit Andy and Bethany.  We had so much fun hanging out with them, even though Georgia beat Kentucky that Saturday.  Campbell absolutely idolized Andy and wouldn't leave him alone for a minute.  He also loved playing with their dog Callie.  I couldn't decide if Callie would be relieved or sad when we left.  We have some great pictures from there, but I need to download them.  I'll post them later.

And then lastly, on Saturday we had a surprise birthday party for David's dad and 2 of his friends who were celebrating their 60th birthdays (actually I think 1 was 61).  He was definitely surprised to see everyone at his house that day for the Tennessee vs. Kentucky game.  Unfortunately Kentucky lost painfully, but they made a good showing.

So, as you can see, life has been pretty crazy for us lately, but it's been lots of fun.  We are so blessed to have so many wonderful family and friends in our lives, and we had plenty to be thankful for this weekend.  And in just a few weeks, we'll have another big blessing to be thankful for.  Well, it will be a big blessing in a little package!  Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, too.
