lots going on...

We had a great time with Bethany and Andy this weekend.  The boys always love to see them because they think that Bethany and Andy come for the soul purpose of playing with them.  I wish I had a dollar for every time Campbell said Andy or Bethany (or Beffey, as he called her).  And they were so sweet to play everything with Campbell from building blocks to drawing on his aqua doodle for almost an hour!!  David and I also enjoyed their visit with David and Andy playing golf on Friday and Bethany and me having some girl time on Saturday.  Bethany and Andy, you two are truly like an aunt and uncle to our boys, and we are so thankful for you and your friendship.  We loved seeing you and can't wait for you to come back.

The other big thing going on around here is Campbell is spending his first night in a big boy bed.  We've been thinking about it and talking about it for a while now, and today we took the plunge.  David took apart the crib and turned it into the full-sized bed.  We spent the afternoon working on the bed and talking about it, so when bed time came, we thought he was ready.  Well, so far, so good.  It's 9:45, and all is quiet, so here's hoping that he sleeps well tonight.    Thanks for checking in on us.

what am I in for?

I knew that eventually living in a house full of boys would include lots of... shall we say... potty humor, but I didn't think it would start this early.  Campbell has been singing "Who Made the Flowers Grow" for weeks now since he learned it at preschool.  As you may know, the second verse is "Who made the fishy swim?"  Well, today that verse became, "Who made the DOODIE swim!"  Yep, that's right, it's not a typo, he said doodie!  And he even answered it with "God in heaven above."  And of course he just laughed and laughed and thought he was hilarious.  I tried not to laugh, but somehow he knew this was funny because he just kept singing it over and over.  Good thing he didn't do the hand motions to this new verse!!  Yikes, if he's starting this now, what is it going to be like when he and Andrew are both teenagers?!?
This picture just captures that sweet mischievous nature of Campbell's.  How can you not love that face?
