Beach Pictures...Finally
So, I'm a little, OK a lot behind on my blog, but I wanted to post some pictures from our beach trip. We went down to Destin with David's mom and dad the first week in September. We had a great time. We were a little worried that Ike was going to ruin our trip, but he decided to hit Texas and ruin the next week by creating a gas shortage in Nashville. Don't get me started on that. Ike did close the beach for the last few days we were there. And I've seriously never seen such huge waves at the Gulf before. The water was all the way up to the steps. But by the last day, the water had receded a little bit. So David and I decided to take Campbell for a last walk on the beach. Well, apparently that was a bad idea. A life guard rode by on a four wheeler and told us to be sure not to touch the water because if a policeman saw us, he could give us a citation. Who knew that? Double red flag=illegal to even touch the water.Unfortunately, we forgot to bring our camera charger, so my pictures only cover the first few days. I wasn't able to get any of Campbell playing putt putt or riding the go carts or crying through the bumper boats. We got plenty more pictures with Gerry's camera, but I haven't gotten them yet. But, here's what I have. Thanks, MeMe and Papa for a great trip!
Here's a few pool pictures. We spent most of our time there. Campbell was being a fish again, swimming under the water all the time. And he made some new friends, too.
This was when we found out that Andrew loves getting squirted in the face with water. He was laughing hysterically as Campbell soaked him with the water gun. We all laughed so hard. Even now, he loves it when you splash him in the bathtub. The bottom picture is probably the cutest picture of Andrew I've taken.
These are, of course, the attempts at a few family pictures. Nothing Christmas card-worthy, but there are some good ones. There are more, but my downloading patience is spent.
